About Us

Founded by Jerry Falwell in 1958, the Elim Home is a free, 8-week program for men battling drugs and alcohol.  We are a ministry of Thomas Road Baptist Church, located in beautiful central Virginia.  Our primary focus is to help men find deliverance from substance abuse through Salvation in Jesus Christ and the power of the Holy Spirit.

Veterans Substance Abuse and Trauma Treatment

Sometimes it feels that the only way to stop the memories of the past is to use substances to “numb” the pain. Getting help for substance abuse related to post-traumatic stress can seem impossible. The faith-based approach at Elim Home provides a compassionate atmosphere designed to help you move forward with your life by positively confronting the traumas of your past and overcoming the substances that you may have used to escape them. Through the love of Jesus Christ and a new found or re-established relationship with Him, you can find hope and freedom in your life.
